The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
All three pieces have scratches and wear as expected with their age.
The 'twin fish' dish:
- There are a few tiny nicks to the foot rim
- This is in otherwise good overall condition.
Smaller Qingbai conical bowl:
- This has a hairline crack measuring max. approx. 4 cm. from the rim.
- There are a few small shallow chips to the foot ring, the largest measuring max. approx. 0.6 x 0.1 cm.
- The base has an old Christie's paper auction lot label reading Christies 150.
The larger Qingbai bowl:
- There are three hairline cracks extending from the rim, the largest measuring max. approx. 5.5 cm. long.
- There are a few scattered tiny nicks to the foot ring.
