The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
First:
-There is a burst bubble on the mouth rim.
-There is a short firing crack to the mouth rim.
-There is a kiln grit adhesion to the base.
-There is a hairline cracks to the base.
Second:
-There are some minor areas of abrasion.
-The neck has been reduce.
-There are repaired chips with associated overpaitning.
-There is overpainting to the shoulder.
-The foot has been likely polished.
-There is a Chinese charactor da inscribed in black ink on the base.
Third:
-There are a few nicks to the foot.
-There is a hairline extending from the mouth rim to the body.
-There is staining to the crakles.
Fourth
-The neck has been reduced.
-There is extended chipping to the foot.
Fifth
-There are small areas of abrasion to the surface.
-There are short hairlines to the corners of the mouth rim.
