We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.

cover:
- There is a kiln grit adhesions to mouth rim.
- There is a small chip to mouth rim.
- ""72.3.241a"" has been inscribed in red ink to the interior of the cover.
- There are minor scratches to the surface.

box:
- There are a few chips to the collar and to the mouth rim.
- There are three spur marks on the base.
- There is expected surface wear.
- There a firing crack extending from the mouth to the body.
- ""72.3.241b has"" been inscribed in red ink to the base.
