The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
First:
-The foot rim has been damaged with associated polishing and chips.
-Five sections have been restuck with associated overpainting.
-There are three hairlines extending from the mouth.
-The interior has expected wear to the surface
Second:
-One hairline extending from the mouth to the body.
-One Y-shaped hairline extending from the mouth to the body.
-There is a short firing crack on the foot rim.
-The interior has expected surface abrasion and light degradation to the surface.
Third:
-There are three hairlines extending from the mouth rim.
-A design has been etched through the glaze exposing the body on one side of the bowl above the foot.
-The interior has expected surface abrasion.
