Details
The toggle is carved in openwork as a Buddhist lion grasping a brocade ball in its front paws. The stone is of an even greyish-green tone with some light russet inclusions on one side.
2 1/2 in. (6.4 cm.) high


Provenance
The Collection of General Joseph W. Stilwell (1883-1946), acquired in the early twentieth century, and thence by descent within the family.
