We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture. Tripod censer: -There are few casting flaws to the mouth rim. -One foot has been off and re-stuck to the censor with associated restoration. -There are two small indentations to two feet, which probably are from casting. -There are surface scratches; "B43" has been inscribed in red ink to the base. The other censer: -There is wear to the surface with minute nicks to the edges, particularly to one corner of the mouth. -There are a few small areas of minor touch-up.
