The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- There is a star crack to one side.
- There is a pit, minor potting irregularity.
- There are some iron spots in the glaze on the exterior and mouth rim, some of which have been incorporated into the decoration.
- There are some areas of flaking to the glaze, primarily on the green, purplish-blue and pale opalescent white.
- There is some expected abrasion and scratches to the glaze.
- There is irregularity in the glaze to one lotus leaf.
- There are some kiln grit and some residue on the bottom of the interior.
- There is an underglaze blue rectangle to one side of the interior.
