The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- One section of the lotus flower is chipped off, measuring approx. 1.2 cm.
- There is some nicks and small chips to the extremities, predominantly to the lotus and the reverse of the figure, as expected with age.
- There is one shallow carving flaw to the reverse of the figure's arm, measuring approx. 0.2 x 0.5 cm.
- There is one chip to the surface of the boy's face, measuring approx. 0.3 cm diam.
- The stone has some natural flaw lines and russet inclusions.
