The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
First cup:
- There are small black speckles to the interior
- There are a few small glaze gaps.
- There is light rubbing to gilding.
First saucer:
- There are kiln grit adhesions to foot and base
Single saucer:
- There is a hairline crack to mouth rim.
- There is wear to gilding on mouth rim.
- There is a small nick to foot rim.
- There are small glaze gaps to the base.
Second cup:
- There are chips and small fritting to mouth rim, two of the chips with associated hairline cracks.
- There are flat chips to foot rim.
Second saucer:
- There are small areas of misfire to glaze.
- There is a small glaze flake to the interior.
