The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Water pot:
- There are minor fritting to the mouth rim.
- There are a few surface scratches.

Vase:
- The vase has chips and losses to the edges and extremities.
- The vase has cracks.
- The trunk handles are reattached.
- One of the elephant handle has a short gouge mark, which may be original.
- There is a long crack and a few other short cracks to the cover.
- There is a chip to the Buddhist lion's tail on the cover.
