PROPERTY FROM A PRIVATE ENGLISH COLLECTION
AN ARCHAISTIC BRONZE VASE, HU
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The vase is of rectangular section and is cast to the shoulder with a band enclosing two taotie masks. The stand is cast with a band of stylised waves. The neck is cast with two qilin-head handles.
11 in. (28 cm.) high.

Provenance:
Acquired by the vendor's grandparents in the early 20th century, inherited by the vendor in 1950.
