A BLUE AND WHITE 'DRAGON' DISH
YONGZHENG-QIANLONG PERIOD (1723-1795)
The interior is decorated in the center with a five-clawed dragon chasing a flaming pearl amidst clouds; the exterior is similarly decorated. The base is inscribed with a four-character hallmark reading zhiyuantang zhi ('made for the far distant hall') in underglaze blue within a double square.
6⅝ in. (16.8 cm.) diam.
