A CIZHOU-TYPE CREAM-GLAZED PILLOW
JIN-YUAN DYNASTY (1115-1368)
The ruyi-shaped top is raised on a base of a conforming form and is carved with a leafy peony stem reserved on a striped ground. The pillow is covered overall in a cream glaze over a white slip that stops at the foot and around the front panel of the base.
