A CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL 'PHOENIX' BOWL
MING DYNASTY, 16TH CENTURY
The bowl is decorated to the exterior with two phoenixes in flight above mountains and amongst flower heads on a dark turquoise ground, below a border of scrolling flowers to the rim.
4½ in. (11.4 cm.) diam.
