A JUNYAO VASE
SONG DYNASTY, 12TH CENTURY
The vase is covered inside and out in a pale milky-blue glaze thinning to mushroom on the rim and stopping short of the foot rim. There is a reddish-purple splash dripping down the side of the shoulder. The underneath is also glazed.
8½ in. (22.6 cm.) high
