FROM THE FAMILY COLLECTION OF WIJCHGEL VAN LELLENS, ACQUIRED IN THE 18TH CENTURY AND THENCE BY DESCENT
A SET OF SIX BLUE AND WHITE PLATES AND TWO PAIRS OF BLUE AND WHITE DISHES
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722) AND QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The group comprises of a set of six blue and white Qianlong period plates decorated with flowers growing from a fence; a pair of blue and white Kangxi period dishes with foliate sides, painted with peonies; and a pair of blue and white Qianlong period plates decorated with insects and flowers growing from rocks.
The largest, 8¾ in. (22.3 cm.) diam.
