TWO PALE CELADON JADE VASES
19TH CENTURY
The large vase is carved as if wrapped in a piece of fabric elegantly fastened with a ribbon, with leafy flower sprigs carved in high relief on both sides. The stone is of an even pale tone with some milky and russet inclusions; both mouth and foot rims with metal mounting. The small archaistic vase is carved with clouds and a pair of stylised chilong handles, the stone is of a pale tone with some opaque white inclusions.
6 in. (15.2 cm.) and 3⅛ in. (8 cm.) high
