A YIXING SQUARE-FORM TEAPOT AND COVER
18TH-19TH CENTURY
The teapot is carved to one side with an inscription in archaistic script. The base is impressed with a mark reading yixing zisha gehu, which can be translated as 'Yixing clay pot'. There is a small impressed maker's seal mark to the interior of the cover.
4⅞ in. (12.4 cm.) high
