The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
The gu-form vase:
- There is some wear to the interior of the mouth rim.
- There is some surface wear and there are some very minor dents in keeping with the age of the vase.
There is a small old chip to the footrim measuring max. approx. 1.5 x 0.4 cm.
The archaistic vase:
- The neck has been reduced and has some very tiny nicks.
- There is some light surface wear and scratches in keeping with the age of the vase.
- There is one dent to one side of the vase, measuring approx. 2 x 1.8 cm.
The condition of lots sold can vary widely due to factors such as age, previous damage, restoration, repair, and wear and tear. The nature of the lots sold means that they will rarely be in perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
