The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Bowl:
- A section of the rim measuring approximately 11 cm. x 3 cm. max. has been broken into a number of pieces and has old restoration using gold lacquer.
- A chip to the rim also has old restoration with gold lacquer measuring approximately 2.2 cm. x 1.1 cm. max.
Blue and white circular box and cover:
- The body has been broken in half and into a number of further sections and has been re-stuck, with some associated losses to the breaks.
Blue and white crab box and cover:
- This is in good condition.
Sawankelok vase:
- A circular ring kiln adhesion to the base. The foot ring has a few scattered tiny nicks.
Two jarlets with handles:
- A few scattered shallow chips to the base and areas of glaze crawl.
Figure:
- This is in OK condition.
Lobed blue and white jarlet:
- A few shallow chips to the base and a shallow glaze chip to the body.
The condition of lots sold can vary widely due to factors such as age, previous damage, restoration, repair, and wear and tear. The nature of the lots sold means that they will rarely be in perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
