We have sought to record the changes in this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- Both the spout and the handle have been broken off and restuck, with restoration and over painting to all sides of the ewer.
- There is an associated crack below the joint where the handle meets the ewer, with over painting to the butterfly decoration.
- The top section of the ewer has been broken off at the neck and restuck with associated restoration.
- There is a chip to one edge of the foot rim, measuring approximately 0.5 cm. wide.
