Details
The ink cakes are of octagonal form and decorated to one side with a garden scene and the other with an octagonal cartouche enclosing characters surrounded by a pair of confronting kui dragons. The sides are inscribed with 'Qianlong nian zhi' and to the other with a collection mark. The silvered bronze paperweight is cast as a two cubs clambering on top of a recumbent Buddhist lion.
The paperweight 2¾ in. (7 cm.) wide
