Details
The pair of yellow-ground dishes are painted with a dragon in pursuit of a flaming pearl amidst flames, the exterior is decorated with a pair of striding dragons, the base has a four-character mark qing hua zhen pin, translating as "precious object of splendour". The blue-glazed dish has a six-character Qianlong seal mark in underglaze blue to the base.
7 in. (18 cm.) and 7½ in. (19 cm.) diam.

Private European collection, acquired in China prior to 1943, and thence by descent in the family.
