The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
The finial:
- There is a chip to the large leaf measuring max. approx. 1.5 cm. long.
- There are some nicks on the extremities.
- The stone is of a celadon tone with some natural inclusions and flawlines to the stone. There is a russet inclusion on the flower.
- The piece is 4.5 cm. long.
The melon group:
- There is a small bruise to the lower tip of the melon (approx. 0.5 cm.)
- There is a small possibly polished area by the lower section of the melon (approx. 2 cm.)
- There are some altered areas, as well as natural flawlines, cracks and inclusions to the stone.
- The piece is 10 cm. long.
The toad model:
- There is a small chip to the stem of the leaf and some further nicks on the extremities.
- There is a small polished area to the back left leg (approx. 0.5 cm.)
- The stone is of a pale tone with few mottled white inclusions and natural striations.
- The piece is 5 cm. long.
