The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes to the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- There is a small area of repair just above one handle and two tiny areas of repair to the other handle.
- There are a few knocks to the interior of the censer, with associated loss to the surface of the bronze.
- There is some minor degradation to the surface of the bronze on the interior, possible due to residual water or incense.
- There are scratches to the surface of the base.
- There is general age-related wear, scratches and tiny knocks to the surface and extremities throughout, as expected.
