The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
The soapstone Luohan holding the pagoda:
- His head is re-attached.
- There are a few bruises/chips on the nose, chin, face and left ear.
- The other ear has a superficial chip to its lower section.
- One corner of the base is chipped, and there are some further small chips to the base.
The soapstone Luohan with the prayer beads:
- There are a few chips to the base, two nicks on the right shoulder.
The bamboo Arhat:
- There are some natural splits to the bamboo.
- There is a tiny chip to the top of its head.
- There are some small chips to the base.
All of the figures:
- All of the pieces with old wear, as expected.
