We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- both cover and vessel appear to be in overall good condition
- a fine crack to the chilong’s bifurcated tail on the jade finial
- a few expected nicks to the edges and extremities of the jades
- a few other small inlays are missing or repaired- some fine fissures and minor mottling in the stone which are inherent to the material
- expected light tarnishing and some surface wear to the metal
