The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
vase:
- appears in overall good condition
- a minor nick and a bruise to the outer mouth rim
- a minor bruise to one extremity of the rock work at the front near the base of the vase
cover:
- a few minor nicks and bruises to the rims
both:
- some natural fissures and minor mottling and black speckles in the stone which are inherent to the material
