The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
All three dishes:
- light speckling to the porcelain
- some light rubbing and flakes to the enamels and gilt
Dish with pair of horses:
- two rim hairlines, the longer measuring approx. 5/8 in. (1.6 cm.)
- a small chip to the mouth rim
- a few nicks and kiln grits to the foot rim
dish with pair of leopards:
- a rim hairline measuring approx. 1 ¼ in. (3.2 cm.)
- minor surface scratches to the interior- a few small shallow chips and nicks to the foot rim and a small chipped flaw to the center of the base which is most likely original to manufacture
dish with two foreigners:
- three restored hairlines, the longest measuring approx. 1 in. (2.5 cm.)
