We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Smaller:
- a few shallow chips to the foot
- some surface abrasion with minor glaze loss to the interior and rims
- a small bump below the mouth on the interior which is original to manufacture
- glaze lines to both interior and exterior which are original to manufacture and typical for works of this type
Larger:
- a small re-stuck section with associated losses to the mouth, measuring approx. 1 in. (2.5 cm)
- a short firing crack along the contour of one fish and a few iron spots to the interior
- another short firing crack to the exterior
- a few small shallow chips and nicks to the foot rim
- glaze lines to both interior and exterior which are original to manufacture and typical for works of this type
