The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- a restored section measuring approx. 1 ¼ in. (3.2 cm.) to the mouth and the jar appears to be covered by a transparent coating
- fine network of glaze lines to mouth and body
- some expected glaze degradation, firing flaws including iron spots, kiln grit and small bumps, as well as minor knocks to the vessel, which are all consistent with age and use
