Details
The scabbard fitting is finely incised with a taotie mask below stylised scrolls, the base is pierced with three holes for attachment. The axe head is of tapered square form, pierced with a hole to one side, the stone of a mottled dark green tone, with an attractive russet streaked inclusion.

The scabbard fitting: 23⁄8 in. (6 cm.) wide
