Details
The dish is decorated with a central lobed cartouche with butterflies framed by four fan-shaped cartouches depicting the Flowers of the Four Seasons, including prunus, peony, lotus and chrysanthemum. All divided by four bats and reserved on a dotted ground with flower sprays.
1458 in. (37.2 cm.) diam.
Provenance
Acquired by the current vendor's father in Europe in the early 20th Century.
