Each dish is decorated with a scantilly-clad amorous couple within a pavilion by a river, the reverse decorated all over with a vibrant pink enamel. Each base has a blue enamel inscription reading Qing guo kao zha shi ye duan jing zeng, Jiangxi ciye gongsi te zhi , 'Respectfully presented by the Industrial Study Group of the Qing Empire, specially made by the Jiangxi Porcelain Company'
