The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
-a vertical hairline on the interior of the neck extending to the luting line, however this does appear to go through to the exterior
- a horizontal glaze line, approx. 2 3/4 in. (7 cm.) long, on the luting line
- the inner foot rim has been lightly buffed in areas
- a few minor frits to the mouth rim
- a frit with associated shallow glaze chip to the mouth rim
- a horizontal firing crack, approx. 3 1/2 in. (9 cm.) long, to the interior of the mouth where rim begins to flare
