The vase is covered on the exterior and the interior of the neck with a glaze of dark red tone streaked with lavender and pale turquoise, the neck flanked with by pair of chilong-shaped handles, with an apocryphal Yongzheng mark on the base. The mouth rim, handles, and the base are fitted with gilt-metal mounts of various designs.
