The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
All:
-There are minute nicks to the edges and raised decoration.
-There are natural inclusions and fissures in the stone, which are inherent to the material.
First:
-There is a shallow chip to one ear of the dragon.
-There is a cut mark on the top of the shaft beneath the head of chilong.
Second:
-There are a few uneven areas on the surface and to the edges with associated polishing.
-There is a chip to one edge of the shaft, and one to the oval stud.
Third:
-There is staining to the surface
-There is a fissure across the center of the body. Fourth:
-There is a small opaque white patch to one edge of the underside.
-There is a knock to the tip of the underside.
