Lot Essay

Li Yanshan (1898-1961) was originally named Yaochen. His sobriquet was Juduan and style name Yanshan. He was born in Xinhui, Guangdong province and became a well-known Chinese painter, poet and art educator. In his later years, he was respectfully called the “Master of Landscape Painting.”
