Pang Xiquan (1941-2006) was born in Weifang, Shandong province. A graduate from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1966, Pang was a member of the China Artists Association and was Editor in Chief of the People's Daily. His work has been exhibited in France, Japan, the United States, the Netherlands, Canada, Singapore, and other countries around the world. His work Cat was displayed in the Chinese Art Exhibition in 1988.
