The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
First:
-There are two chips to the edges with associated short cracks.
-There are some areas of recarving to near the edges.
-There are some minute nicks to surface.
-There are some inherent fissures and inclusions in the stone; some areas of russet have probably been enhanced.
Second:
-There are some chips to the edges.
-There is a small area of recarving to the black inclusion.
-There are some inherent inclusions and fissures.
Third:
-There are some chips to the edges and corners.
-There are two perforated holes to one side narrow side.
-There is a fissure across the carving.
-There are some expected minute nicks to the relief carving.
-There are some inherent inclusions in the stone.
