The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
All:
-There are minute nicks to the edges and raised decoration.
-There are natural inclusions and fissures in the stone, which are inherent to the material.
First:
-There is a knock to the back of the head.
Second:
-There is a short crack to the mouth of the dragon head.
-There is a minor chip to one edge of the underside with a short associated fissure.
Third:
-There is a shallow chip to one edge of the underside.
Fourth:
-There is a chip to one knee of one dragon.
-The underside has been mounted with metal, which has scratches and wear; therefore the underside has not been examined.
