Lot Essay
Wang Gongzhu (1923-2007), a native of Haimen, Jiangsu province, was the oldest son of Wang Geyi (1897-1988). He served as Board Director of the Wu Changshuo Research Center. While he was in Chongqing, he received instructions by masters such as Pan Tianshou (1897-1971) and Xu Beihong (1895-1953). His paintings, which feature spirited brushstrokes, were frequently exhibited in China.

There are minor creases and wrinkles, especially on the lower side of the painting. There is also some water stains on the top edge and upper left side of the painting. Otherwise, it is in our opinion that this painting is in good condition.
