The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its manufacture.
-areas of restoration to the neck, the ears, the face, the mane, the saddle, the tail and all four legs with associated over painting
-a few restoration breaks, most notably one across the romp connecting to one narrow side of the saddle
-chips and nicks to edges and extremities, some of which have been touched up
-the rectangular base is probably later attachment
