Details
The first, a silhouette agate bottle, is carved through the mottled russet markings with a continuous scene of a seated sage surrounded by three large birds amidst sinuous leaves, and a fish leaping from waves; the second, a pale white jade bottle, is carved on both sides with a pair of addorsed archaic dragons and flanked by fixed ring handles on the narrow sides; the third, a cameo agate bottle, is carved on one side utilizing the russet markings with a horse tethered to a hitching post.
178 in. (4.7 cm.) high, hardstone stopper; 214 in. (5.7 cm.) high, jadeite stopper with ruby finial; 2 in. (5 cm.) high, hardstone stopper
