The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its manufacture.
Bell-pusher:
-a few nicks to the edges
-a short crack to the tail of one chilong
-some inclusions and fissures in the stone, inherent to the material
-expected wear to the metal components; a perforated hole to one end, probably later
Box and cover:
-a few nicks to the edges and relief decoration
-a crack extending from one side to the center of the plaque on top
-some natural inclusions and fissures inherent to manufacture
