The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record the changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after its initial manufacture.
The Shoulao:
- The left hand which holds the staff has been restuck, and there is a loss to the lower tip of the staff.
The Luxing:
- There is an area of repair to the foot (approx. 2 cm. wide) and a few further fine cracks to the foot.
- The top section of the attribute is missing.
All the pieces:
- There are age cracks and small chips to the wood consistent with age.
- The pieces bear a rich patina.
