The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
All have light surface wear and scratches as expected with their age.
The kendi:
- The neck has been re-attached and restored and there are small areas of restoration and associated overpainting to the edge of the flange below the rim, the largest area measuring approx. 2.6 cm.
- There are tiny nicks to the foot ring
The bowl, 18.8 cm. diam.
- There are a couple of tiny areas of glaze pull to the rim.
- The base has a paper label reading "Questa Antichita Via Camerana 10 Torino".
The teapot, 13.6 cm. high
- The tip of the spout has been restored and there is an associated area overpainting to the whole spout measuring approx. 3 x 5 cm.
- There are some tiny nicks to the feet
- The cover is of the same period but is possibly matched
