The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
The mythical bird vessel:
- There are several flawlines running over the body, the breast and the tail of the bird.
- There is a small polished chip to one of the handles.
- There is a tiny nick to the bird's beak.
- There is some surface wear and small nicks.
The tubular fitting:
- There are a few nicks to the opening of the fitting.
- There are some inclusions, veins and flawlines as may be expected.
