A LARGE PALE CELADON JADE VASE AND A SMALL VASE
19TH CENTURY
The large vase is carved as if wrapped in a piece of fabric, and elegantly fastened with a ribbon, with leafy flower sprigs carved in high relief on both sides. The stone is of an even pale tone with some milky and russet inclusions; both mouth and foot rims mounted with metal. The small archaistic vase is carved with clouds and a pair of stylised chilong handles, the stone is of a pale tone with some white opaque inclusions; small damages.
6 in. (15.2 cm.) and 3 1/8 in. (8 cm.) high
