A LARGE SPINACH GREEN JADE TRIPOD CENSER AND COVER
19TH CENTURY
The compressed body is supported by three feet terminating in lion masks. The sides are carved in shallow relief with taotie masks flanked by lion-mask loop handles suspending loose rings. The domed cover is similarly carved and surmounted by a coiled dragon forming the finial. The stone is of a mottled dark green tone with some lighter inclusions.
